The IAHA also offers two certifications:
Obtaining these certifications requires the demonstration of proficiency in valuing hotels. Experienced hotel appraisers can become certified based on their past appraisal education and hotel valuation expertise and experience. New appraisers can take an online course- “How to Value a Hotel” developed and taught by Steve Rushmore, CHA, MAI.
Upon earning the certification, hotel appraisers will receive a certificate suitable for framing (via email). They may use your certification in their CVs, LinkedIn profile, and on the signature line of their appraisal reports.
